Cure for Mayuri started with a simple idea - to make a positive impact on the world by raising awareness and funds for a rare disease that affects me. H-ABC combined with Dystonia and Scoliosis have completely changed my life and limited what I can do. However, I won’t let it defeat my spirit. Through Cure for Mayuri, I’m working to raise awareness and funds for research, even when facing the toughest medical challenges. Our mission is to find the cure for rare diseases like H-ABC and bring about positive change in the lives of those affected. Your help can make the difference.
The Experience
It's been a sudden and drastic change for me. I used to be just like any other kid, enjoying activities like eating, dancing, and playing. However, now I find myself bedridden and unable to do any of those things I once loved. Every day feels like a struggle as I lie down, staring at the ceiling, missing the simple joys and freedoms I once took for granted.
My Family
My family consists of my parents and my mischievous 3-year-old brother. Just so you know, he's a "COVID baby," born during the lockdown period.
